Ex- BBC Advisers Undergo MPs' Grilling In the Wake of Assertions of Partiality in Disclosed Document

Ex- British Broadcasting Corporation advisers appearing before Members of Parliament

We start with inquiries from Conservative MP the committee chair, that chairs the committee.

She initiates by providing background to the unauthorized document authored by Michael Prescott and released in a daily publication.

"I don't want the BBC tilting this way or that way, My only wish is for it balanced, fair and fair," he declares.

In response to a query if he considers the BBC is institutionally biased, Prescott answers: "No I don't. To be clear, a great deal the BBC produces is world class - encompassing documentary and non-factual programming."

However, he continues: "There is significant effort that needs to be done at the British Broadcasting Corporation."

The second previous consultant British Broadcasting Corporation consultant questioned by the group, Caroline Daniel, says she takes the BBC extremely earnestly and that it has a "ongoing system and lively discussion" across dynamic and complex subjects.

"Whether the BBC was ready to conduct a genuine conversation and debate and implement changes?" she questions. "In my view, affirmative, they were."
