In excess of 50 unaccompanied minor migrants who went missing shortly after reaching the UK and while being looked after by the authorities are still missing, as per figures acquired.

Legal Changes and Ongoing Concerns

Authorities also refer children to processes and programs to help address the danger of abuse in the UK, including the national referral mechanism and the specialized protection program. "Even then it is difficult to halt all children from going missing."

An additional official commented: "The safety and welfare of lone migrant youths stays important, and we take children disappearing extremely seriously.
