Vince Zampella, a Gaming Pioneer, Has Passed Away in a California Vehicle Accident
The co-creator of Call of Duty, renowned for co-creating the globally famous franchise Call of Duty, has tragically died in a vehicle crash in California he was 55 years old.
His passing was announced by Electronic Arts, the publisher that controls Respawn Entertainment, the video game company which he helped establish.
The celebrated video game developer passed away following his car crashed and was engulfed in flames on a highway in LA on Sunday, US media outlets report.
"This is a heartbreaking loss, and our deepest sympathies go to Vince's family, those closest to him, and everyone impacted by his creative vision," an official with Electronic Arts stated.
